mRNA Vaccine Against Cancer: A Major Breakthrough in Healthcare

On Thursday, August 19, pharmaceutical giants Merck and Moderna unveiled highly encouraging preliminary results from their Phase 3 clinical trials of a personalized vaccine targeting melanoma.

Tailored to each patient’s tumor’s genetic profile, this treatment aims to train the immune system to specifically identify and destroy cancer cells. The data show a significant increase in survival without recurrence or metastasis.
