Biological Mechanisms and Applications of RNA Editing and Modification
Congress
The RNA Editing GRC is a leading international scientific conference aimed at pushing the boundaries of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, with a focus on discussion time after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists at all career stages. The conference program features a wide range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field.
The conference lasts five days and is held at a remote location to enhance camaraderie and build scientific communities, fostering lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to the keynote talks, the conference includes time for poster sessions featuring individuals from all career stages, and the afternoon free time and communal meals provide networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
The RNA Editing GRC is the only international meeting dedicated exclusively to RNA editing and modifications. The 2025 meeting is subtitled “Biological Mechanisms and Applications of RNA Editing and Modification” and will present the full scope of the latest advancements in this rapidly growing field. RNA editing and modification are highly abundant phenomena that occur in almost all RNAs, in all cells, and in all organisms. These relatively simple molecular events have far-reaching biological consequences, and our knowledge of them is rapidly expanding. It is important to note that many biological roles of RNA editing and modification are actively being discovered, ranging from gene expression control, stress adaptation, viral, microbial, and parasitic infectivity, organism development, brain function, innate and adaptive immunity, hereditary diseases, cancer, and more. Building on a solid foundation of mechanistic and functional research on RNA editing and modification enzymes, our field has now entered an exciting new era where a variety of emerging applications are using RNA editing and modifications as tools for research and health.
The 2025 meeting will showcase these new applications in areas such as therapies that modify the transcriptome and proteome, more effective mRNA vaccines, and more. One of the goals of this meeting is to facilitate the translation of academic discoveries in RNA editing and modification into platforms that advance biotechnology and healthcare. Overall, the 2025 RNA Editing GRC will accelerate discovery by inspiring research on biological mechanisms, promoting knowledge transfer, building a strong, diverse, and inclusive community, and, most importantly, developing the next generation of creative scientists.
